I am a very lucky person who gets to make a living doing something that I am passionate about: making music. My close friends also know that my other passion is FOOD.
When it rains, it pours. This is certainly the case for me towards the end of February and beginning of March. Within the span of one week, I will be performing some of the most challenging and beautiful sonatas for cello/viola and piano: Rachmaninoff Sonata, Franck Sonata, Shostakovich Sonata and Grieg Sonata. How lucky I am to be collaborating with great artists: cellists Ruslan Biryukov and Nathaniel Rosen, and violist Whittney Thomas. Hope to see some of you at these recitals.
I am on the search for music pieces that are "food" related (e.g. Leonard Bernstein's Recipe Cycle for Soprano and Piano). If you know of such music, please feel free to drop me a line.
Ruslan and I are still working on the art work for our new French CD. We continue our search for a work by an American composer for cello and piano for recording and for performances.
